What to expect when you visit

Your safety, comfort and enjoyment remains our number one priority.

Before you visit

Check for symptoms

If you or anyone in your party feels unwell with Covid-19 symptoms, they should not attend.

Please get in touch at least 24 hours prior to the event (or as soon as you know you can not attend). We may ask for evidence of a positive LFT or PCR and we will be happy to exchange your ticket to another performance.

Leave more time

There may be additional checks and procedures to complete, so please leave plenty of time for your arrival. We’ll be maximising circulation space, reducing queues and opening auditorium doors as early as possible.

During your visit

Face Coverings

It is no longer a requirement to wear a face covering when attending the New Theatre, however as a courtesy to fellow audience members and our staff, you may wish to continue to wear one.

We’ll provide hand sanitiser stations throughout the venue. Please use them and/or wash your hands regularly using soap and warm water.

Keeping Your Distance

Out of courtesy to others, please continue to leave as much space as you can.

Cleaning & ventilation

We’ll be cleaning all areas more frequently and thoroughly, including wiping down surfaces throughout your visit.  We have also increased fresh-air ventilation throughout the building wherever possible.

Cashless Payments

All purchases can be made using contactless or card payment methods – it’s quicker, reduces contact and is more secure.  We’re no longer accepting cash payments, although you might need some cash for parking and merchandise for some shows.

Staff on hand to help

Staff will be available at all times during your visit to the theatre. If you have any questions or experience any problems, please speak to a staff member at the time to allow us to help.
